Certified Research Professional (CRP)


CRP Course

The CRP Online Training and Certification Program includes access to the Online Learning Portal, Instructor Support, Exam and Certification. There are 138 modules in total that need to be completed for this certification course.

Duration: 160 Hours

Fee: US $700 or EUR 595 or CAD $935 or INR 35,000 (Including Exam)

The User ID and Password will be valid for 1 year from time of enrollment. Please note 160 hours is just an indication of effort in terms of hours to view all the 138 modules, Library and sample test papers. If you spare 2 hours a day, all the modules can be completed within 80 days (160 hrs/2 hrs = 80 days). That is approximately 3 months.

On average, most members complete the CRP Exam within 4 to 6 months depending on the hours spent per day. The modules can be viewed any number of times without restriction, and access will continue to be valid for 1 year even if a member completes the Exam in the fourth month. The online exam is conducted on the 14th and 28th every month. Members are expected to complete the online exam within the 1-year time frame.

The recruitment policy at each company is different. Hence it cannot be standardized. While some companies hire people who have had backlogs/arrears during college, other companies hire members who have not had any backlogs/arrears. So it depends on the company and its recruitment policies.
Some members who had backlogs/arrears during college and had a second-class college degree have been able to find jobs in leading MNCs after they cleared this certification due to the huge industry demand.

Course Delivery Icon How will the course be delivered?

The classes for the Certified Research Analyst program will be by means of E-learning. The classes will be completely online. The classes can be taken either at your home or office, provided you have an internet connection and a computer.

Moodle is considered to be the world-class e-learning platform that adheres to SCORM International Standard. Members can view the video lectures, download study materials, case studies, take practice tests, and also take the online exam on this platform.

Yes. There will be doubt clearing sessions from 5 pm – 7 pm US EST on the 4th Sunday every month. During this session, you can chat with the tutor face to face using a webcam to ask any questions and get your doubts cleared.

    • Project 1: Dominance and consumption of conspicuous items/good. This project is a step-by-step demonstration of an analysis/research if customers who are more dominant are also willing to pay more for status products (some expensive goods that signal one’s social or economic status: a new car, a house, travels, clothes, and a wrist watch or jewelry). The project includes the demonstration of data cleaning, Cronbach’s alpha to check the reliability of the questionnaires, as well as correlation and multiple regression analyses.
      Project 2:Analysis of Airbnb market in Belgium. Step by Step Demonstration of how to analyze Belgian market of Airbnb apartments (rooms) and make recommendations to client using SPSS (over 17500 data points). The dataset will include information about type of room, where it is located (country, city, neighborhood), how many reviews it has received (reviews), how satisfied people were (overall satisfaction), price, and room characteristics (accommodates, bedrooms, bathrooms). We will use SPSS to see whether there is a relationship between price and level of satisfaction, satisfaction and different types of rooms, satisfaction and room characteristics (i.e., explore the market and have an idea what to expect if a person is planning on using Airbnb in this country).

      Project 3: Investigation of behavioral and physiological correlates of good sleep quality. In this experimental data, we will see how one can use behavioral parameters (amount of physical activity, time spent in bed), as well as physiological parameters (heart rate) to predict participants’ sleep quality. This dataset will need to be cleaned based on multiple parameters that will be different for the different types of tests we are going to perform. The goal is to identify those parameters that would result in a better overall sleep quality. Finally, we will use one-way ANOVA to see whether the mood with which participants wake up depends on the overall sleep quality.
      Project 4: Evaluation of touristic attractions. Step-by-step demonstration of how to analyze participants’ ratings of different tourist attractions. In more detail, the analysis will be based on real-life ratings of over 5000 participants who evaluated their preferences regarding different tourist attractions (medieval churches, theaters, museums etc.). We will clean the dataset and identify those attractions that are preferred the most by tourists and which we should concentrate on in our tourism business.
      Project 5: Predicting price of gold. Step by Step Demonstration in SPSS of how to predict prices of gold on data from 10 years of trading (over 2500 data points). In more detail, we will use the prices of silver, crude oil, and indices of SP500 to make the predictions. We will also learn how to make plots with multiple y-axis to compare the prices of couples of items simultaneously, both adjusting and not adjusting for the scale of measurements.
      Project 5: Predicting wine purchases. Step-by-step demonstration of how one could use SPSS to predict the amount of money spent on wine using demographics (number of children and teenagers in family, marital staus) and economic activity parameters (income, number of web purchases) of a large dataset of customers (>2200 recordings).

    I did not pass the exam on my first attempt. Is there a second attempt?

    Yes. If you have not passed the exam in the first attempt, you are permitted to take up the exam again.

    How many re-attempts are allowed?

    There are no limits to the number of attempts one can take. The first two attempts are free of cost. However from the third attempt onward there is an exam fee of USD 50 for each attempt thereafter. Please note 90% of our members pass the exam in the very first attempt. With good preparation and by utilizing the practice tests available on the training portal, one can definitely pass the exam with ease in the first attempt.

    The online exam is conducted on 14th and 28th of every month. You need to register in advance by submitting this form here: Exam Registration Form. Once you choose the date, your account will be configured for the exam and an e-mail confirmation will be sent to you. On the day of the exam, you need to login with your User ID and Password at training.iipmr.com to take up the exam. The exam can be taken online from your home/office or at any of our Authorized Training Center as well. Please note that you may login anytime of the day to take up the exam.

    I have scored 60% and passed the exam. When will I receive the certificate?

    The certificate will be mailed by express delivery via FedEx or DHL to the address provided during the time of registration. For residents in USA, Canada, UK, Cameroon, and India, the Certificate will reach you within 10 business days. For residents in other countries, it will take 15 business days to reach your address. In case there is any change in the address, please write to contact@iipmr.com clearly mentioning your membership id number and username.

    The CRP Certification is widely recognized by the Research industry & most of the Experienced Analysts or Team Leaders are able to get in to Managerial positions in companies because of the Professional certification. The starting salary of an individual with a CRP certification in USA is $120,000 to $150,000 per annum. The starting salary of an individual with a CRP certification in Canada is CAD $115,000 to CAD $130,000 per annum. Whereas the starting salary in Europe is in the range of EUR 100,000 per annum to EUR 120,000 per annum.
